How is this site best viewed ?
This site has been designed for best viewing with Microsoft Internet Browser version 4 or later with display settings of resolution of 800 x 600, colors greater than 256 and a text size of smaller or smallest. At lower resolution you may wish to view with the No Frames Page to minimize scrolling. The site also has been checked with Netscape 4.75 or greater, but some of the spacing on the No Frames Pages is slightly distorted.

Where can I find Dockets and Opinions?
Links to the Docket and Opinion searches are located at the top of most our website pages. The Docket link will take you to the PACER site, while the Opinions link will take you to our Opinions Search page.
For more Opinion options, please go to the Home Page and scroll down to the Opinions section. There you will find options for Recent Precedential Opinions, Recent Not Precedential Opinions, Opinion Archives (Villanova University Law School) and Search for Opinions (3rd Circuit Archives).
Opinions have their own database under the Microsoft Index Server search engine, and may be searched in a number of ways. Help is available on searches through the interface, but basically every word has been indexed and is searchable. For example, if you want to search on a particular judge, simply type in that judge's last name and click "Go".
The searches have been designed and tested with Netscape 4.75 with JavaScript enabled and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. The use of previous versions of these browsers may produce inconsistent results.

How can I find the status of my case ?
The status of cases is tracked by the Clerk's Office and all inquiries should be directed there. The address and phone number are listed under General Information.

For what is the Search Page used ?
As described earlier the Microsoft Index Server search engine is used to search for opinions. The Opinion search pages are used to find occurrences of words or phrases in the Opinions database. The search has been designed and tested with Netscape 4.75 with JavaScript enabled and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. The use of previous versions of these browsers may produce inconsistent results.

Email the Web Administrator is used to send email to the Web Administrator. The email can contain suggestions or comments on the form and content of this web site. Please note that all inquiries regarding case status should be directed to the Clerks' Office.
